The Welcome Ministry extends a heartfelt welcome to everyone who chooses to become a part of our Friendship Family.  It is their responsibility to make sure that all our new members know their way around and know who to contact when they want to get involved in the work of the church.  Anyone wishing to be a part of the Welcoming Ministry, please contact Dea.  MISSION

Sis. Rose Taylor-Davis is the director of the General Mission, Sis. Linda Coleman is her assistant. The Mission Ministry meets every first Tuesday in the Month at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Our meetings consist of studying the Word of God and discussing the monthly outreach projects; such as, Meals on Wheels, Clothing Bank, and those in need of assistance. The General Mission is comprised of several sub-ministries:

  • Matrons Ministry
  • Circle Number 1
  • Circle Number 2
  • Circle Number 3
  • Nurses Guild
  • Minister, Deacons & Trustee Wives
  • Youth Department

 We would like to invite every member to come and be a part of our Mission Ministry.

 SUNDAY SCHOOL

The Sunday School Director is Sis. Annie Brown-Hamner and her assistant is Sis. Lucy Logan. Sunday School is a vital part of our church study of the bible.  On a normal Sunday Morning we have approximately 250 students enrolled in nine classes.  Sunday School is held each Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Education Building.

BROTHERHOOD

Brotherhood meets every Monday Night at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.  Bro. Brian Short is the Chairman of the Brotherhood and Rev. Shaun Porter is our bible teacher.  This ministry is open to all men and young men who wants to become a part.  You don't have to be a member to join in on the fellowship.  The ministry is growing every week and we encourage everybody to bring somebody with you.

USHER MINISTRY

The Usher Ministry meets every Monday before the first Sunday and every Monday before the third Sunday at 5 p.m.  Bro. Darrell Morrow is the Director of Ushers.  Any member who would like to become a part of the Usher Ministry is welcome.  We are an excited group of workers who take pride in our work of the church.  We welcome you to come to Friendship at any time and we will gladly welcome you in through our doors.

CHOIR MINISTRY

Friendship Baptist Church is comprised of one 8 a.m. choir and Sunday specific choir for 10:45 a.m. services where a different choir sing each Sunday. The Music Coordinator is Sis. Josephine Huff-Foster who also share keyboard on opposite Sundays with Sis. Rhonda Snow,  Bro. Tramayne Smith is on organ,  Bro. John Snow is on drums, Bro. Larmar Davis is on Sax, Bro. Fred Brown on Lead and Bro. Andrew Gladney is on Bass Guitar. Choir rehearsals are conducted every Thursday Night at 6:30 p.m. for perspective choir singing the upcoming Sunday.  8 a.m. choir rehearsals are on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. Friendship is known for a dynamic music ministry.  We know that we have persons coming on Sunday Morning who need to be uplifted through song and that is why we don't take the ministry of music lightly. Our Father is worthy of the praise. Hallelujah!!!

 PASTOR'S AID

The Pastor's Aid Ministry was establish to provide those necessities that may be overlooked at times for the pastor and his family. We consider every member of the church a part of the Pastor's Aid Ministry.  Sis. Doris Noland is the Chairperson and we meet every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Come join us.

Transportation to and from services are provided each Sunday. Please contact the drivers on Saturday night before 9 p.m. if you need a ride for services on Sunday morning. The phone numbers are provided below.

  MEDIA MINISTRY 

The Media Ministry make media available for the sick and shut-in and make media available for purchase.  Audio tapes are $3 each, CDs are $5 each, DVDs are $10 each, and video (VHS) tapes are $8 each.  If you would like to purchase any of our Sunday services please contact Dea.
