FBC Dance Ministry

Friendship Baptist has over 200 youth affiliated with the church.  With that number of young people, we know that Friendship Baptist Church will be around for many years to come.  The second Sunday in each month has been designated as youth Sunday.  On that day the youth get a chance to show how they praise the Lord.  They handle everything from startup to finish.  The pastor designated this day for the youth because he knows that one day they will be carrying on the work of the Lord in the church. Sis. Charlotte Lewis  is Youth Director.

Return

Children Church

Children Church meets every Sunday except the second Sunday when they take part in regular church services.  The Children Church is set up like regular church and our associate ministers take turns given the children messages.  This is a training ground where our children learn to conduct themselves and conduct the services.

Return

Nursery

The Nursery is available during regular church services for those parents who find this to be beneficial.  The Nursery is a place where parents can feel like their children are safe and well taken care of.  The Nursery is well staffed and children can play and learn from bible games and movies during church services.

Boys To Men - Pictures

Boys to Men Community Outreach Ministry meets every second and fourth Friday at the Friendship Baptist Activity Center at 6 p.m. We form a network of young boys and men from the church and community.  We serve as that father figure that is missing so many times from the home or that big brother relationship that our young boys and men so desperately need.  We work with boys too men.  Don't miss this opportunity presented to you to become a part of our team. Dea. Billy Walker is Director.

Return

Dance Team

The Dance Team is comprised of young people who love to demonstrate their praise through Christian Liturgical Dance.  The bible says to praise Him with the timbrel and dance and everything that has breath should praise the Lord.  African Americans have a strong heritage of singing and dancing for the Lord.  We want to praise Him with everything we've got.  The Dance Team is in need of a supervisor to work with our youth in this ministry. Sis. Renae Bailey, Director

Return

Girl Scouts

The Friendship Girl Scouts is an outreach provided for girls who are interested in becoming a girl scout. Sis. Mary Caine, Valerie Lockett and Sis. Gwen Knox are the counselors along with other parents who wish to get involved. The Girl Scouts meet every Second and Fourth Saturday at 10 a.m.

Reclaiming Our Youth (ROY)

The ROY Program is a state funded program to take back our young people from which the world thinks it has stolen.  Former Sen. Charles Steele, Jr., provided funding through the state to keep this program operational.  This program is in partnership with the Tuscaloosa City School System.  The program has provided means for children of all ages to participate in activities and travel to places they normally would not get an opportunity to travel. Some of the locations where ROY has travel are: Disney World in Orlando, Aquarium in Chattanooga Tennessee, Civil Rights Museums in Memphis Tennessee and Birmingham Alabama and many other locations.  ROY meets on the second Saturday at 9 a.m. at various locations. Program is unfunded at this time.
